The salon software I promised a friend I'd build.

Hi, I'm Iiro!

I build software for living, and I've been doing it for a long time.

I made my first websites in 2004, typing everything by hand in Microsoft Notepad. What started as a hobby slowly turned into a career.

Over the last ten years, I've built and shipped software used by millions of people.

How Taimli started

In June 2025, the company I was working for was struggling, and my team got laid off. After working for well over a decade, I decided to take the summer off and enjoy the Estonian sun.

One summer day, I was having coffee with a friend, who has owned and worked at several beauty salons in Tallinn.

My friend casually mentioned how salon software is expensive and bloated for someone like her who only works part-time.

I started writing the problems and must-have features down. By the end of our coffee, I told her I'll make her something more affordable and better.

After a few months of building and feedback, Taimli was born.

Pricing that respects your margins

Software shouldn't be your biggest overhead. Just because we could charge you a lot more, doesn't mean that we should.

We'd rather do a few things really well than build a bloated mess with 500 features you'll never use.

When you reach out, you talk to the person who actually built the product and not some AI chatbot.

At first I was skeptical, that I had not even heard of it and whether it is trustworthy, what the price is and whether it has a simple system etc. I was so used to my old system and so were the clients. Well, since the price motivated me and the smaller the costs the better. And since there was a free trial period and the old system would also not disappear anywhere before I agreed to join.
